The opening ceremony of the II. Gazi Pharma Symposium hosted by our university and organised by the Faculty of Pharmacy was held.
The symposium, which will be held between 11-13 October, is attended by 30 speakers who are experts in their fields from Turkey and abroad. In addition, nearly 380 registered participants participate in the symposium.
The Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan reminded that the first of the symposium was successfully held in Antalya in 2015. Expressing that they are happy to host the symposium, Prof. Dr. Orhan said the symposium will focus on the latest developments in pharmacology.
Gazi University Rector Prof. Dr. İbraham Uslan said that the Faculty of Pharmacy which was opened in 1968 is one of the 7 most established Pharmacy Faculties of Turkey and added; "The faculty is one of the 10 institutions that have national accreditation among the 37 faculties of pharmacy in our country. For this reason, since it is a very strong faculty in terms of scientific research and R & D, it aims to strengthen this mission by organizing the International Gazi Farma Symposium.
The Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan also noted the scientific achievements of Gazi University and said; "Gazi University is the third largest university in Turkey, representing our country in the league of universities with 13 fields of science. Moreover, as of September 26, 2017, Gazi University has become one of 10 research universities in our country".
Rector Uslan, who stated that the symposium will contribute greatly to the recognition of Gazi University and the Faculty of Pharmacy, thanked the participants for their efforts in organizing the symposium.
