Education board of the Turkish Olympic Committee (TOC)- the Turkish branch of the world’s number one sports organization Olympic Games- and the sports celebrities consisting of Olympic champions came together with our students at “The Fair Play Universities Caravan” panel. Throughout the panel the connoisseurs of sports presented their views about “fair-play” concept which signifies the respect for the rival and obeying the game rules. Before the panel, a sports-themed cartoon exhibition was opened.
As a keynote speaker Our Rector Prof. Dr. İbrahim Uslan stressed that the fair-play understanding should be internalized in all fields of social life.

The moderator of the Panel was Prof. Dr. İbrahim Yıldıran who is well known for his academic studies on Olympics and is the faculty member of Gazi Sprots Sciences department. Edoğan Arıpınar (member of TOC, World Fair Play Commission Councilor, Vice President of The Europien Fair-Play Movement, Coordinator of TOC Fair-Play Commission and a sports columnist), Murat Özbay (Head of Fair Play Commission and TOC) Teoman Güray (Member of TOC and sports columnist), Haldun Domaç (Sports Commentator), Remzi Yılmaz (Member of TOC and Fair-Play Commission), Ahmet Ayık (Winner of the silver medal at 1964 Tokyo Olympics), İsmail Akçay (ranked fourth at 1968 Mexico City Olympics and Balkan champion), Taha Akgül (Turkey, Mediterranean, European and world champion and participant of Rio Olympics), Sema Dirier (Member of TOC Fair-Play Commission and a Faculty Member at İstanbul University) and Sevim Güllü (Member of TOC Fair-Play Commission) were the speakers.
