With the initiative of Mazar-i Sharif College in Afghanistan and support of Gazi University, Turkish Language Learning Research and Application Center (TÖMER) has been opened.
Gazi University Vice-Rector Prof.Dr. Yaşar Aydemir, TÖMER Director Assoc.Prof.Dr. Nezir Temur, Founder representative of Gazi College Abdullah Destebaşı, Mazar-i Sharif Turkish Consulate General Vice Consul Mustafa Çapraz, Kabil Yunus Emre Institute Director Abdullah Yeğin representing Turkey’s Kabul Embassy, TIKA Mazar-i Sharif Coordinator Zühtü Çal, Mazar-i Sharif Turkish Consulate General Religious Affairs Attaché Abdulcelil Alpkıray, Deputy Governor of Belh- Beşir Tevhidi, Province President Afzal Hadid, Belh Chief of Police Abdurrazzak Kadiri and Turkish Maarif Foundation Mazar-i Sharif representative Mehmet Çerçikaya attended the opening ceremony of TÖMER.
Mazar-i Sharif Turkish Consulate General Vice Consul Mustafa Çapraz stated that Turkey will continue to stand by the Afghan people and emphasized the importance of education in a country’s development.
Gazi University Vice-Rector Prof.Dr. Yaşar Aydemir emphasized that Gazi University is ready for any kind of support regarding education.
Deputy Governor of Belh, Tevhidi stated that Turkey is always with Afghanistan and is cooperating in various fields.
Director of Mazar-i Sharif Mukhtar School and International Relations Supervisor Enis Aksüt underlined that they are very happy to collaborate with Gazi University. He said that the opening of TÖMER in Afghanistan is crucial in terms of meeting the demand of the Turkish language in the country.
